one glorious moment at a time

I feel hope
and brilliance.

A new world of possibilities has opened up
right before my eyes.
My heart has begun to sing -
softly, tentatively -
once again.
The future is bright and beckoning.

There will be more pain along the way
but I’m ready to move on and face
whatever is to come.
As I step out of this dark night of the soul,
I feel a warm breeze on my face,
the sun caresses my skin.

I do not walk alone.
My companion is by my side
and we journey together into a bright new day.
Our paths may not be identical -
and they may not even travel together forever -
but for now we move toward a shared goal,
our dreams intertwine and move us closer,
pulling us forward as one.

Beauty surrounds me
as I open my eyes to it,
relishing each and every sensation,
texture,
sound,
sight,
taste.
Caressing life with all my senses
and feeling her beauty and warmth.

This adventure is welcome, eagerly embraced.
I plant my feet firmly in the now and experience this one moment…
And this one…
And this one…
And so the future unfolds one glorious moment at a time.
